I am a PhD candidate at the MIT Media Lab in the Lifelong Kindergaraten Group, where I create documentation tools for capturing and sharing design process. Through the inventions of platforms such as Spin, Build in Progress, and Mechanix, I study how new forms of design documentation can enable feedback on work-in-progress and support reflective practice.

Before coming to the Media Lab, I received an MS in mechanical engineering at Stanford in 2011 and a BS in mechanical engineering at MIT in 2009. I have worked as a mechanical engineer / designer at companies such as IDEO, Fisher-Price, Insight Product Development, and Luidia.
