Peeps Machine
ME210 2011

For ME210, Stanford's Mechatronics course, the final "Angry Birds"-themed competition involved attempting to collect peep candies and knocking down "pigs." My team constructed a fully-autonomous robot that could sense its original starting location on the playing field using a sweeping beacon sensor (detecting IR emitters on the perimeter of the field), a series of catapults constructed of carbon-fiber for launching peeps to hit the pig targets, and a sweeper for collecting peeps on the competition table.
