Stirling Engine

Overview

I created a stirling engine that was machined and assembled with a custom designed flywheel, bearing blocks, and cylinder plate.

The numbers on the outer circumference of flywheel represent hours of the day; sun and moon placement correspond to the time of day.

Custom parts were designed using SolidWorks and OMAX software.


Custom fly-wheel design. The numbers on the outer perimeter indicated the time of day while the images on the flywheel corresponded to the placement of the sun and moon.
