Technique!
Technique is really cool! It's the yearbook at MIT, and I've been involved with Technique since my freshman year.
During my sophomore year, I was Coke Pusher and co-Living Group editor with Alice Tao (who also happened to be my CPW host). As Coke Pusher, I was in charge of stocking our old coke machine with soda. As Living Group editor, it was my job to contact every living group president and schedule photo shoots. I also took a lot of the living group photos for the 2007 book. ( =
For my junior year, I will be Coke Pusher again as well as Publicity Manager for Technique. That means I get to design a lot of advertisements for book distribution, senior sittings, and recruitment. I've designed a few things already which are shown below:

This is the first thing I ever designed from scratch in Illustrator. I designed this for fun to teach myself how to use Illustrator, and it hasn't actually been used for anything yet. As you can see, the whole right side of the poster is incomplete; it may be finished someday to be used as a recruitment poster.

This was a poster that I designed to recruit pre-frosh during CPW. TNQ had a booth in Johnson during the annual CPW activities fair, and we distributed a free prints to all of the pre-frosh that stopped by our table. This poster ended up becoming a sticker that was stuck on the back of every print. I took the picture and designed the poster. In the process of making this poster, I also took a bunch of other photos that didn't end up being used:

I made this poster to advertise for rising seniors to get their pictures taken for the 2008 book. It features Grogo, the Technique mascot. This poster was printed tabloid size and postered around campus. |

This flyer was made to advertise for the 2007 orientation activities fair. Similar to the CPW fair, the activity fair

I'll try to update this page whenever I've made a new poster or have other cool Technique stuff to show. ( =
