House Rules

A. Timeline

The campaign takes place "after _A Dance with Dragons_ + 20 minutes".
Since news travels slowly, events from the end of the book may or may
not be public knowledge.  And things may or may not be as the reader
left them.

B. Action Points

Action points will replace "Glory", because you guys don't care
about glory for your house and lands because you work for the
Iron Bank of Braavos (damn straight).  So this is replacement
that we'll try and see how it works.  Yes, the concept is pretty
much cribbed from Eberron.

Action points are awarded instead Glory as the results of encounters,
or at GM discresion.

Action points can be used for the following:

*add 1d4 to a roll 

*reroll an attack or skill (but not damage) decrease

*the rank of a critical attack against you (-1 6 per point spent)


C. Languages

All PCs have the ability to speak Westerosi (Common) and Braavosi
fluently.  To read and write either still costs, but speaking is
free.  Otherwise, this campaign makes no sense.

D. Braavosi Fighting

There is a small change to the skill "Braavosi Fighter".  The
skill is further subdivided into two specialites:

*"Water Dancing": uses a rapier and possibly a small dagger or
 dirk in the off-hand.  Focus on piercing attacks.
 
*"Florentine": two-weapon fighting with short sword-and-dagger,
 short sword-and-dirk, or 2 short swords.  Focus on slashing
 attacks.

There is no real mechanical change to "Braavosi Fighter".  This
division is only for purposes of flavor and equipment.

E. Money

Assume you have access to the Iron Bank expenditure account.  You are
allowed to expense anything that "is necessary for the completion of
your mission".  You may or may not have to do line-by-line
justification for this.

The credit line is functionally unlimited: no one has hit the upper
limit, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should try. :)

F. House and Status

You're all foreigners, ex-pats, or exiles.  Your house status in
Westeros is therefore irrelevent.  On the other hand, you're
representatives of the Iron Bank, which is, quite frankly, probably
more important.
