Academic Advising

MIT students seek and receive academic advice from many sources, including: freshman advisors, departmental academic advisors, as well as undergraduate and graduate departmental academic administrators.

Academic advising focuses on helping students choose subjects and navigate degree requirements, responding to questions about UROPs and other academic matters, internships, graduate schools, and careers.
