Committee on Academic Performance (CAP)

The CAP is responsible for the academic performance of undergraduates and can make recommendations to the faculty on such matters as minimum scholastic standards, examinations, and grading.

The Committee acts with power on petitions from individual undergraduate students relating to exceptions to established academic policy, and reviews the records of undergraduate students at the conclusion of each academic term. At the end of each term, the Committee presents its recommendations on candidates to be awarded bachelor's degrees to the Faculty.

For more information on the CAP, please visit the Committee website at: http://mit.edu/acadinfo/cap/.
