OrientationOrientation is the first fun filled week of MIT students undergraduate careers. During Orientation, students solidify housing selections, take care of important administrative issues, and participate in community events that are designed to familiarize them with MIT and get to know one another. In addition, there are a number of Pre-Orientation programs offered before the official start of Orientation that enable students to learn more about an area of interest, explore academic disciplines and get to know their classmates. Pre-Orientation programs are a great introduction to leadership, social, athletic, and academic activities at MIT. There are eighteen pre-orientation programs that will take place the week prior to Orientation. Some are at an additional fee, while the academic run programs are free. A list of the pre-orientation programs and complete information on Orientation will be available on the Orientation website beginning on May 1. For more information, please see the Orientation website or contact Orientation staff orientation-www@mit.edu.
