Grades from Other Schools

Credit brought in from other schools appears on your record in the following ways:

  • Transfer credit from other universities, including subjects taken while on study abroad or domestic study away, is noted as S. The credit is not counted as part of your GPA.

  • Credit awarded on the basis of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, A-Levels, and other international examinations is noted as S.

  • Cross-registration subjects at Harvard and Wellesley are listed with the subject titles from those schools. A-F grades are incorporated into your GPA.

  • Cross-registration subjects at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and the Massachusetts College of Art are listed with the subject titles from those schools. All subjects are graded P/D/F. P grades are not included in your GPA, but D and F grades are included.
