As you plan your academic career and progress through MIT, you need to keep in mind the large set of requirements for MIT's Bachelor's of Science (SB) degree Within the requirements, you have many options to design an education that is right for you.

In addition to General Institute Requirements, you choose and complete a major program designed by one of MIT's more than 20 departments. You'll have to decide which subjects to take to fulfill your requirements and what optional programs, like minors or study abroad, you'll add to enrich your education.
