CD Changer v1.1 1998 Nemesis Productions
============================================================================
Jan 30, 1998

Description
------------

	Sony MegaCD Changer Remote!

Select from a list of your CDs and tell your Sony Changer to play it.
CD Lists can be easily imported in Newton Book format.

Also - automatically name your CDs from your Newton. CD Changer
1.1 will "type" in the names of your CDs for you. (Only if you CD Changer
    supports it)

This is sort of "funware" for me. I wrote it for myself, but figured other people would find it useful. But as a result, I don't have that much documentation written. Email me if you need help.

    - Core IR code provided by Sanjay Vakil of Scrawl, LLC.

Naming CDs
----------

NOTE: When NAMING CDs, your CD player must be playing/at the CD you want
to name. In the Name window, you'll be able to "Go To Disc #XX". Do this,
wait until the disc loads, THEN hit "Name Current CD".

"Truncate To Space" just truncates your CD Name to the 1st space. Just to
    make naming your CDs easier.

	For Example:
		"11. Arnold's CD"   ---truncates to-->  "Arnold's CD"

"->" erase's the leading character of the Name.

"Name Current CD" does what it says.

Files
-----

CDChanger.pkg
	The program itself.
MyCDList.pkg
This is a NewtonBook of MY CDs. Just as an example. If you install this
book, the first time CDChanger runs, it'll build a list of CDs from this
book. CDChanger saves it's own copy for itself, so you can then delete the
NewtonBook after you run the program once.

How To Import Your CDs
----------------------

First, you need a COMMA DELIMINATED TEXT FILE of all your
CDs. You MUST have entries for EMPTY slots (no CD in
changer). (Click here for an example of my comma deliminated CD
	List)

For Example (a list of 3 cds):

	1. CDNameX, 2., 3. CDNameY

Then, you must create a Newton Book and MAKE SURE YOU
SET THE LONG NAME TO "MyCDList" (case insensitive).

When you first run CD Changer 1.0 it will build your CD list and save
it. After this, you may delete the Newton Book pkg.

Don't own NewtonPress? If you send your TXT file of CDs (in the
proper format), I'll generate a NewtonBook for you.

Requirements
------------

So far, this has only been tested on the Sony CX255 and CX250. It will
likely work with the 100 disc changer (CX205, I think). Email me if it
does or doesn't. Also - this has been formatted and written for
PORTRAIT orientation on the MP2x00. It will not fit on the 130, 120,
or eMate (in landscape orientation). Sorry... this is just the first
release and I just wanted to get it working. If you have interest in
running this on other hardware, email me.

Cost
----

	FREE.

Of course, I'd love an email if you do find this useful. It helps me
know that my efforts have not gone to waste.

And, of course, donations always welcome, and be sure to check out
Scrawl's page (http://www.scrawlsoft.com) (who helped make this
	possible).
