UROP
FOR PAY
If you would like to earn pay for your UROP, talk with your UROP supervisor to see if he/she has the resources to provide pay. When financial support from faculty is unavailable, UROP has a limited amount of funding available to support your research during the academic year. This Direct Funding process is competitive—heeding deadlines is crucial for full consideration.
See the UROP Deadlines page for all current UROP deadlines. Applications are due to UROP no later than 5PM on the given deadline date.
DIRECT FUNDING (FUNDS FROM UROP): The UROP Program will fund up to $1,300 (at $9.25/hour).
Applicants
will be
notified
of funding
status via
email within approximately two weeks following the deadline,
provided
all application materials are complete. Incomplete applications will delay the process. Be sure to review the Awards & Funds page before you apply to see if your project is appropriate for any of these funding sources.
SUPERVISOR FUNDING: The minimum
hourly rate
is $9.25/hr.
and you must
enter a total
stipend amount
in the required
line. This
stipend is
your overall
expected earnings
but does not
include additional
indirect cost
to faculty
(OVERHEAD
62%). You will be notified
via email once your appplication is
approved regarding the next steps you need to take to ensure that your UROP payroll is set up properly.
As with credit
and volunteer
UROPs, approval
will not be
issued until
all required materials are complete.
UROP
FOR VOLUNTEER

in UROP
as a volunteer,
