Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research: WI

The Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research is a basic research institute with a focus on developmental biology. In accordance with the terms of the affiliation agreement between Whitehead Institute and MIT, all Whitehead Institute faculty members have appointments in the MIT Biology Department. As joint faculty members, Whitehead Institute faculty have teaching responsibilities to undergraduate and graduate students and welcome student participation in their research projects. The faculty and descriptions of their research are listed under the Biology Department.
