Options for
CME Students
As a CME
student, you
have two main
UROP participation
options; UROP
for Pay and
UROP for Credit.
You may also
elect to participate
in UROP as
a volunteer,
provided that
you follow
all applicable
UROP guidelines.
Your options
are outlined
below for
quick reference.
Funding
for Cambridge
University
Students
If you would
like to earn
pay for your
UROP, talk
with your
UROP supervisor
to see if
he/she has
the resources
to provide
pay. When financial
support
from faculty
is unavailable,
UROP has
a limited
amount of
funding
available
to support
your research
during the
academic
year.
This Direct
Funding
process is competitive—heeding deadlines is crucial for full consideration.
Academic
Credit for
Cambridge
University
Students
Cambridge
University
students participating
in the Exchange
follow the
same UROP credit
registration
procedures applicable
to MIT students.
UROP credit,
like all other
forms of MIT
credit, must
be added via
a standard
add/drop form.
Note: UROP
credit registration
must occur
before the DROP
DATE of
any given
academic term.

Students Participating
in Research
at Cambridge
University
If you are
an MIT student
doing research
in Cambridge
and would
like to earn
MIT credit
for your work,
