UTR accepts donations for all of our
programs, ranging from epidemic and disaster relief to long-term
reconstruction and local initiatives. UTR is a registered non-profit
organization, so all donations are tax exempt under the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, tax ID no. 042-103-594. Because UTR is run by student volunteers and
supervised by unpaid university professors, 100% of all donations go
directly to program services. Our minimum administrative costs are paid
through a university student group appropriations process, not by donations,
so all donations made to UTR go straight to needy patients, refugees and
others assisted by UTR programs. At this point in time, UTR only accepts donations made by
check, not by credit card or cash. Please make checks out to “MIT United
