Profile
Frank's work spans from investigations of history, memory and psychology to current issues of global concern using diverse media including photography, video, and painting. Her work has been exhibited internationally, with recent solo exhibitions at Edward Thorp Gallery, New York, Galleria Michela Rizzo in Venice and PINTA arte contemporanea in Genova, Italy. Frank has realized public interventions in New York and Europe - individually and as part of an artist collective, the Department for Public Appearances.
Frank studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany, and received her MFA from Parsons in NYC, where she also participated in the Whitney Independent Study Program. She is the recipient of numerous grants and fellowships including the DAAD, Rotary International Foundation, Danner Stiftung, Vermont Studio Center, Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes and the MIT Council for the Arts.
