Create an agent.

To create an agent, one researches extensively in order to attain knowledge in different areas of study including science and technology.
This agent will eventually become a machine on its own.

Re-examine.

To re-examine, one creates an environment using the agent where participants experience the world, as they know, in a new light.
This will be a tool to generate new social awareness.

Question. Challenge. Change.

To question, challenge, and change, one brings the agent to our body.
This will reveal our unspoken thoughts and feelings.

ART AS MEDIATOR [creating an agent]

Agent is the physical apparatus an artist creates. It can sometimes be as conventional as painting or sculpture, however, if
it does not allow the audience to actively participate it cannot be a true agent. When producing a work the artist has to
consider how the object is going to interact with the participants. How does it move if it moves at all? How does it fit or not fit its intimate surroundings such as its participating bodies? What does it focus on? How is it different from what we know? How does it change the way we see the world?

COLOR OF MY CHEEKS [re-examining]

The way our body transforms whether we do it consciously or not transmits information, thought, and feeling. The changes in the body are sometimes as subtle as goose bumps on an arm signifying fear or excitement. We are most aware of these signals when we are presented with out-of-ordinary situations. This unfamiliarity sharpens our consciousness and awareness to recognize even the slightest shift in our emotion. With fast advancing technology and science of today artists can create a machine that adds new meaning to even the very typical.
