• Weekly Seminars

In the VFRL we organize weekly Seminar Series throughout the calendar year.

Speakers are in general members and affiliates of the VFRL and visiting scientists. The scope of the Seminars changes on a semester basis. Typically, Seminar Series in the fall and spring semesters focus on present advances in the speaker's own research to give students opportunity to refine their abilities to present scientific information to a general audience.

In particular, during the summers of 2008,2009 and 2010 speakers were required to give critical reviews on topics outside their research areas.At the end of each presentation listeners are required to give feedback and/or short descriptions of what was presented.
