If you're looking for a good engineering read, the Barker Engineering Library in the Great Dome has collections in an array of engineering fields, from applied mathematics to mineral resources to transportation. It's just one of the five major libraries that, with numerous smaller branches, compose the MIT library system. How long do you think it will take to read all 2.3 million volumes?

Möbius Strip

For total absorption in something other than work, wrap your mind around sculptor Robert Engman's Möbius Strip, located in the reading room of Barker Library. A description of the Möbius Strip, a one-sided surface, was first published in 1865 by German mathematician August Möbius.
