Killian Court is MIT's picturesque ceremonial space. Framed by the Great Dome, which is patterned after Rome's Pantheon, and the tree-lined wings, the grassy courtyard offers the postcard view of MIT.

Hackeysack

William Welles Bosworth, Class of 1889, probably didn't have hackeysack in mind when he designed Killian Court. His turn-of-the-century plans actually depict it as a reflecting pond, fed by the Charles River. Killian Court is where we hang out to catch some sun or flaunt those prodigious hackeysack skills.
