Hang onto your seats. This doesn't look any more believable in real life. Artist Frank Stella's Loohooloo (1994) springs from a scene in Herman Melville's Omoo, where men spearfish by torchlight on coral reefs. This installation wraps around the four walls of a specially constructed conference room in the Department of Architecture. Art is so important at MIT that through the Student Loan Art Program you can borrow an original print or photograph to grace your room for a semester.
