Alumni Pool

Alumni Pool's not just for alums, but the name does allude to the fact that each one of us must pass a swimming test in order to graduate. Built in 1940, the building heralded MIT's transition from neoclassical to modern architecture.

Swimming

The 25-yard pool is used for intercollegiate and recreational swimming, water polo, and diving; there's also a shallow pool for beginners. Our swimming teams have reigned supreme in recent years.
