applesauce cake

.5 cup oil
1 cup sugar
2 cups unbleached flour 
2 cups applesauce
1.5 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
.5 tsp nutmeg
.5 tsp vanilla
.5 cup raisins (optional)
mix oil and sugar well, add applesauce, and mix in dry ingredients.  beat
until smooth.  pour in oiled and floured 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 
for 30-35 minutes or pour in oiled loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes.
