Received 21:01:01 on 07/29/91, Posting # 47 ***** Subject: Appetizer recipe from granola From: Jerome Grimmer From: BRENDA GRIMES Subject: APPETIZER RECIPE Here's one I haven't tried yet, but it sounds wonderful: Pita Pesto Pizzas 4 white pita breads 1/2 cup pesto sauce (made from you favorite recipe or purchased) 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese 2 Italian plum tomatoes, seeded and thinly sliced Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste Spread the pitas with the pesto sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Arrange the tomato slices over the top and season with salt and pepper. Bake on a greased baking sheet in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the bottoms are brown.
