FOR WAC STAFF
The Teaching Toolkit will remain on the website and submissions from WAC staff are always welcome! Please send submissions to Chelsey Norman. They will be promptly added to the website.
The WACki
Here is The WACki, a WAC exclusive wiki for everyone to: upload materials, discuss pressing issues, provide and find valuable information about specific CI-H and CI-M classes, and anything else your heart desires! This WACki is only viewable by WACers and cannot be accessed without your personal certificates.
Stellar
You can also access the WACki through the WAC Stellar site. Everyone is WAC has access to the WAC Project site on Stellar. The Stellar site is currently only being used to help provide access to the WACki.
To access the Stellar site, go the your @Stellar page on http://stellar.mit.edu/ and scroll down to the Project Site section. Click on "wac" and you're in!
Teaching Toolkit
This Teaching Toolkit is available only to members of the MIT community. In order to validate that you are a member of the MIT community, you will need to have an MIT personal certificate. More information including instructions on obtaining certificates is available from the Web Certificates at MIT page.
The Teaching Toolkit is just that—a collection of tools that teachers have used and are willing to share to make their writing and communications classes better. It contains successful exercises, assignments, grade sheets, lecture materials, and style guides for teaching both writing and presentations. It also contains course syllabi, and reference materials for classes that WAC faculty have taught. The items are in a variety of formats: Adobe Portable Document Format files (PDF), Microsoft PowerPoint files (PPT), or Microsoft Word documents (DOC), according to what they are used for. Before you click on a file, please make sure you have the correct software to read the file!
