DELW TEACHING LOAD DETAIL
This is the fact table for the University of Delaware Survey for teaching load.Records with information about FTE faculty, undergraduate and graduate student credit hours, and number of lab, discussion, and recitation sections are grouped by academic year, institution, four-digit CIP code, and faculty type.

| FACULTY_FTE_INSTRUCTIONAL | From Column C on the Data Collection Form. This value is the FTE portion of instructor lines that are supported by instructional funds. Usually (but not always), this value is the total (Column A) less the separately budgeted instructors (Column B). This field was previously named INSTRUCTIONAL_FTE_FACULTY, and was renamed on 12/1/2008. | NUMBER | 7.2 |
| FACULTY_FTE_SEP_BUDGETED | From Column B on the Data Collection Form. This value is the FTE portion of instructor lines that are supported by external or separately budgeted funds for purposes other than teaching, i.e., research or service. This value is NULL for instructor types 3, 4, 5 because it is not collected by Delaware: Delaware assumes those instructor types are not funded through other than instructional funds (although this assumption may not be valid at all AAUDE institutions). This field was previously named BUDGETED_FTE_FACULTY, and was renamed on 12/1/2008. | NUMBER | 7.2 |
| FACULTY_FTE_TOTAL | From Column A on the Data Collection Form. This value is the TOTAL FTE for filled instructor positions as they appear in the fall personnel file at given institution. Includes filled positions only - those that have salaries associated with them. Include paid leaves such as sabbaticals if the instructor is receiving a salary. Exclude unpaid leaves of absence.
