Oracle Common Error Messages
Below is a list of some common error messages and solutions.
ORA-00942: Table or view does not exist
The query you are running
is trying to access a table for which you do not have authorization.

Oracle error: 1019: Unable to allocate memory in the user side
This error message appears
on a Macintosh when the Oracle folder has been moved from its original placement
after installation. Move the Oracle folder back to its default location at the
top level of your hard drive to correct this problem

ORA-101045:
User lacks create session privilege; logon denied
Your account has not been
given create session privileges.

The application
"BrioQuery 5.5 for PPC" could not be opened because "OTI NetClientLib" could
not be found
The problem occurs after complete
installation of Oracle Client and restarting the machine. An alias named "Oracle
Libraries" in Extensions Folder does not point to the right folder "Libraries"
in Oracle 8 Folder.

Error 12154: Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-1215
Problem: Oracle is not functioning
properly. Solution: Delete your Oracle folder, Oracle extensions,and Oracle
preferences, and reinstall.
