Students, staff, and faculty in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) have been working on sanitation projects in Brazil since 1999. Our work has been focus on wastewater treatment. We have conducted research on the feasibility of applying CEPT technology (Chemically Enhanced Primary Treatment) for the cities of Tatui, Riviera de Sao Lourenco, Alfenas, and Paraty.
