Brain Damage

What do you call
Those peculiar behaviors we see every day.
Action that does not follow reason
But instead follows habit, or ritual.
That which defies clear, simple explanation
Yet is not questioned.

Entrenched silliness that we can't talk about.

Somehow it goes on.

A complex of
Inter-related and over-constrained requirements
Has rendered dissection, discussion or dissent taboo.

The ones who dare to question have a word for it:
Brain damage.
