To V.

I looked into your soul today.

You need someone you can trust,
To open up to all the way,
Who will not over-depend on you.

Perhaps,
With a little bit of courage,
I can be that someone.

Perhaps,
With a great deal of courage,
I can step aside
And let it be someone else.

I think of you constantly,
How you are kind,
And smart,
But above all sensitive.

You deserve the best.
Maybe it can't be me.
But I'm not above
A little heroism
For a kind, sensitive man
Who earned my love
By helping me be myself.
