I went to Guatemala in July with my friend Ron.
We rented a car and drove around the Lake Atilan area for a couple of days.
There are many volcanoes in this part of the country.

Our main reason for choosing Guatemala was to visit the Mayan Pyramids.
Here we are on top of Pyramid 5 at Tikal:

The central plaza is quite impressive.
There are two pyramids and many other ruins located around a central court.
Here is pyramid 2:
Here we are at the top of pyramid 2.
Pyramid 1 is in the background.

I heard that a local custom was to do backflips on top of the pyramid.
So getting into the local spirit I completed a couple on the alter near the top of pyramid 2.
Do not try this at home!
