Sarah E. King holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Romance Languages and Literatures. Her teaching and research interests are interdisciplinary, and she has taught courses on cultural criticism, with an emphasis on race and gender in literature and film, in a number of departments at MIT (WGS, FLL and PWHS) and elsewhere (Tufts, UMass-Boston, and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts). Her interests in childhood and film led to the development of a course on Disney, which she has taught for 15 years at various institutions.
