Elizabeth W. Johnson Fellowship

In 2006, the MIT Women's League established a fellowship to honor former MIT First Lady Elizabeth "Betty" Johnson, wife of Howard Johnson, who served as MIT's 12th President from 1966 to 1971. Funded in full by League donations and administered by MIT's Public Service Center, this annual award acknowledges Betty's concern for the environment by enabling an Institute undergraduate to pursue his of her interest in environmental studies.
