The League Chair and Fall Fashion Free-For-All Chair represented the Women’s League at “GreeningMIT 2009,” the MIT Community Fall Break in Killian Court. The League’s participation in this campaign to encourage sustainable practices campus-wide was thanks to the Furniture Exchange and the Clothing Service Program — examples of recycling at its best. The Furniture Exchange has been recycling furniture and household items since 1958, and the Student Clothing program began its green practice in 1997.
