Women Helping Women:
A League Tradition Expanded

TRANSITION HOUSE, New England's oldest shelter for women and children who are escaping domestic violence, provides "bridges" from emergency shelter housing to transitional housing to permanent housing. In addition to housing, Transition House also provides a 24-hour Crisis Hotline, Children's Services, Individual Counseling, an Economic Readiness Program, Outreach Education, and Teen Dating Violence Intervention.

This past year, we were pleased to assist Tranistion House with the purchase of two vacuum cleaners and four standing fans, in addition to your generous monthly donations. We want to provide continued support this year and have listed below requested donation items. They can be dropped off at the League office, Room 10-342, on the following dates:

February 25:  Warm blankets and sweaters (new or like new)
March 31:  Regular size toiletries
April 28:  Sheets and pillowcases (twin and full sizes)
May 27:  CVS gift cards in any amount. Shaw's or Stop and Shop gift cards in any amount

Thank you in advance for helping us to support women and children who have no choice but to flee for their safety with little or no preparation.  A small effort on our part can make a big difference in their lives.
