The first areas to be planted would be the entry points into the Neighborhood. Trees have a special ability to make an area look welcoming and comforting by transforming the 'look' and microclimate and thus creating the Neighborhood Forest.
The trees planted are Gingko, Red Maple, Sugar Maple, Chinese Elm, Honey Locust and Japanese Pagoda Tree. They are planted in such a way that there are at least two species on each road. The Japanese Pagoda Tree traces the flow of the Creek. |
