Three lines of flow lead to the low point of the subwater shed. They converge at the edge of a playing field to create the outline of a detention basin. They are not intended to carry most of the run off heading to the low point- they act to channel and slow waters flow in place of the existing gutters on the streets drained.
. The playing field to the west is regraded with a long mound serving to create a knoll to sit on as well as a secondary detention basin. This secondary basin is sized to handle overflow of a twenty five year storm, the main basin is meant to hold more frequent runoff.

The primary detention basin is covered with a metal grate supported by columns that act as open fountains for playing or possibly seats when not in use.
