ASSIGNMENT
You can 1) e-mail it to me prior to class, 2) type it up and bring it to class on paper, or 3) put it on a floppy and bring it to class. For this weeks assignment, you are welcome to work in groups, but please turn in individual copies of your work. All of the HTML work should be done without an HTML editor such as PageMill or FrontPage.
  1. Establish an e-mail account on dolphin
  2. Make your own home page using Dolphin's MAKEHOME
  3. Replace the default Dolphin home page with the template from this class.
  4. Alter your new home page to reflect you, the new owner (delete links you do not want, add your own, replace Jane Doe with your own name, replace the mailto: links, etc.)
  5. Layout and develop a second page of your own design and content. Link to it from the first page.
  6. Begin developing an HTML cheatsheet
  7. Find 4 web sites that you would say are well-designed, write down the URLs and tell me why you think so.
  8. Bring 4 questions related to this first to class next week
