Constitution of the MIT Women's Rugby Club Article I: NAME The name of this organization shall be the MIT Women's Rugby Football Club. Article II: OBJECTIVE The objective of the MIT Women's Rugby Football Club shall be to promote the sport of rugby to women members of the MIT community. The Club shall actively encourage teamwork, athleticism, and good sportsmanship on the rugby pitch and off. The Club will strive to act in accordance with the USA Rugby rules under the coordination of the New England Rugby Football Union. Article III: MEMBERSHIP There shall be one class of membership. Article IV: OFFICERS [1] The officers of the MIT Women's Rugby Football Club shall be President, Treasurer, Match Secretary, Publicity Director, Social Director, and Captains. [2] The officers shall be members of the MIT Women's Rugby Football Club. [3] The officers shall serve for a term of one academic term, be elected at the end of the preceding academic term. Article V: MEETINGS A general meeting of all members should be held at the beginning and the end of each academic term. Article VI: AMENDMENTS This constitution may be amended by majority vote of the members of the MIT Women's Rugby Football Club.
