A graphical introduction to rugby.
We will divide the work up based on division of pieces of presentation. For example, Cat may choose to represent a kicking play, so she would follow through with that piece to the end.
Our goal for this project is to present the game of rugby to those who do not have much understanding of the sport. Our hopes are to present the game both visually and conceptually using freeze frames, simple animation, and basic diagrams. The order in which we present our project should help starting players and experienced ruggers as well.
We are interested in presenting this to people since we both play rugby here at MIT, and we have found that very few people have an understanding of the sport. This should help people not only to have a concept, but a concept that they can apply to any games they watch.
We will present the sport on many levels. The basics will be described, such as how the game is played, the layout of the field, etc; also we will go into more involved aspects of rugby. We will present simple plays, and tips which can improve aspects of the game. On top of presenting what rugby can look like (think New Zealand All Blacks), we will present what happens when things are done wrong.
