We have changed the method of mounting crystals.We now use a magnetic mounting system from Oxford Cryosystems, which allows to mount crystals much more quickly and without taking the goniometer head off the diffractometer. The system consits of a magnetic base, which is mounted onto the goniometer head and stainless steel pins in nickel top hats that hold a loop or a glass fiber to support the crystal.
