[[Dark]] brainwashed judge who's out for power and to conquer/rule
* Wants to rule PwoR
* Wants there to be combat (Valhalla)
* What does this mean? Search for the Sword of Ares?
* Maybe there are a bunch of sliders you're moving to change
the nature of the PwoR (peace, magic, beauty)
* These get pushed by story elements?
* Question: How can there be growth when there is no peace?
** What should the strong do with the weak?
** What makes someone strong?
** Why do you deserve your strength?
** Answer1: "I have suffered for my strength."
** Answer2: "Because in emulating your greatness, others will better
themselves."

\cenquote{"War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothin'!"}{-- War (Edwin Starr)}
War. War is Truth. War demonstrates how people really are. Conflict is at the heart of nature and the means to survival. Turning away from that is a falseness -- a deception that people can ever be any different.
However, there is no war in the Place Without Recourse. Ii Ma, the monstrous creature that rules this place, forbids it. Many a time you have struck out at someone, only the next moment to wake up in your bed, staring at the sunrise, thinking "How beautiful!"
It's all a part of Ii Ma's power, of course. He just wants to demonstrate how futile it is to oppose him. Whenever anyone arrives here, Ii Ma leans down to them and whispers a question in their ear. That question is the question that keeps them bound here, as nobody can leave without answering their question. The question is always tailored to the individual -- with some meaning to them and possibly to Ii Ma as well. Who can understand such a creature?
But Ii Ma's power is weakening. The odd unreality that governs this place has been slipping away from his control. For Ii Ma is dying. Perhaps this is a new thing, but perhaps he has been dying all along. Already when you got here, his wounds were deep and oozing blood and pus. You always thought that he would live eternally with those wounds -- in torment and suffering. Perhaps that is why he always tormented you (though not in the literal sense that you are accustomed to -- that would be easier to bear, in some way).
Another recent event is the arrival of Gibberlin's Tower -- full of actors who like to put on shows. You all have noticed that their shows have an effect on the strange pseudo-reality that comprises the Place Without Recourse. The more Ii Ma weakens, the more reality can change. Ii Ma has weakened to the point where the shows have a power to define the shape of a new creation.
That brings you to your plan. You wish to conquer the Place Without Recourse and turn it into a land of eternal combat during the day and endless feasting at night. (How can it be endless if combat starts the next day? That's the benefit of controlling reality, just as Ii Ma can create a different number of mornings for each person between each time they meet, you would be able to make this happen.) The Place would be transformed into your own personal Valhalla.
Further, you want to influence the judging of the shows to help create such a world. You wish to emphasize conflict, war, and strife over peace and harmony. This should be possible by promoting the right shows. You also want to support the notion of Sacrifice, for not only is it a popular theme amongst some of your fellow judges, but there can be no strength without sacrifice. Through this process, various legendary places and items that are **Isn't**s suddenly become **Is**es. Through careful manipulation of the process, you're sure you could create Ares' Sword of War, which if it existed, could influence the world in the direction you want. Perhaps there are other such artifacts as well.
Of course, influencing the world that is created is a backup plan to ruling. If you fail to conquer here, then you would have to be content conquering in the world that is created. If that should come to pass, then you could think about leaving, departing as a man, not as a god. After all, you were only a man when you ruled Macedonia and lead your armies to conquer Egypt and Persia. Only, first you'll have to come up with an answer to your question:
**Why do you deserve your strength?**
== Goals ==
* Rule this place.
* Recover the Sword of Ares.
* Make this place more warlike.
* Build your power any other way you find.
