A DAY IN
THE
LIFE
OF MIT

a photochallenge sponsored by
Technique

* Can I select pictures to submit, rather than giving you entire rolls of film?

The reason we're asking you to submit your exposed rolls of film is to make things easier and quicker for you. If your rolls of film contain pictures that you don't want to submit, you'll be able to tell us in person, or on paper or email.

If you really want to develop your own film, you can, just talk to us about it.

* What happens after the photochallenge?

You'll return your exposed rolls of film to us in the Technique office (W20-451) on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon. We'll post the times when we'll be there on this website soon. Once we receive your film, we'll take care of developing it.

A week from the following Saturday, April 26 (this date is tentative), we'll have an optional get-together in the afternoon where you'll get to see your own pictures and those of other people. It will be informal -- we'll have free food, and you can see your pictures and share them. There you'll be able to write little descriptions of your pictures, if you'd like.

* What if I'm not available to pick up/drop off film during the listed hours? And what if I can't attend the following Saturday?

Don't worry, let us know and we'll make arrangements with you so that you can still take part in this. We want to make it easy for anyone to participate. Email us at technique@mit.edu, or let us know through the registration form (it's okay if you've already filled it out before).

* What is Technique, and how is this related?

Technique is the yearbook of MIT. This is a side project we're doing for fun. The print publication and the website that we produce from this will be of high quality like our yearbook.

We also hope this photochallenge will be a way for people to find out about Technique. If you're interested in joining our staff, whether you have experience or not, taking part in this event is a great way to get to know us and to get involved.
