The lobby is a flurry of motion. Students, alums, and friends snake their ways around, over, and under the furniture like ants, disappearing down the hallways or the stairwell. A small gaggle of people gathers noisily in front of the elevator. The elevator door opens, and the cluster of people waiting for it swaps places with a group leaving it, which dissolves into the flowing throng like so much anhydrous caffeine into a mug of espresso.

A desk worker sits at her post, flipping through a Yaoi graphic novel. A steaming mug of coffee sits next to her. She seems immune to the chaos. You're a little jealous. That graphic novel looks good.
