After disposing of the two captured ninja in a thicket, they consider what to do about their remaining problem, and decide to sneak up on him and kill him. Baba makes some poison for her arrows, and Sasha goes to scout for the remaining ninja while the others wait further back. She finds him easily, standing next to a house in the little village... and watches as he just stays there, unmoving, for a long long time. Something is up.
She reports back, and Lucia scries the target and learns that it's a pumpkin, some sort of manufactured thing - clearly not the actual ninja. They decide to sneak through the tall grass to the barn and find the real ninja.
But he finds Gaius in the grass first, and leaves him bleeding on the ground and vanishes again. The team works together to find him, and are able to flush him to Ivar, who unfortunately is the recipient of a severe claw strike to the face, and goes down himself. Then Lucia lights the ninja on fire with a huge burst of flame, and he is quickly dead.
They check his supplies, finding a lot of knives, lock picks, and powders. Lucia releases the unicorns, who run off a short distance away, and then spends some time communing with them.
Then more planning, with the decision for Baba to go into town and scout in an attempt to find out where the papers about the wine are likely to have been filed, since Gravla files everything.
