Team SILVER spends a while assessing different explanations for the coyote den, trying all the settings on the little matrix of who knows what. Nothing is decided anyway. Gavin calls in and reports on the situation to Damien, getting the goahead to capture the coyotes with nets and tranquilizer guns (coming tomorrow). At dawn, Thielo, Alexandra, and Gavin stake out the den and watch the coyotes come and go a bit. Thielo uses the aura goggles but finds nothing different about them in the ether.
Later on that morning, Orchid calls Gavin to discuss his dream. They put their heads together, and Gavin suggests that the most logical explanation is an ascension, probably a local one (since he didn't have the dream a couple years ago when the Naked Goddess is known to have ascended). Orchid gets all excited and decides to come down to Roswell just in case.
The team discusses a possible ascension and decides that it is more likely to be Stubbins, unless Randall really is controlling the coyotes. They can't remember if there is or is not a Trickster archetype, but everyone agrees that it's pretty likely. Japanese tourists arrive in a bus and flood the Inn, taking some pictures of Esteban, who poses for them a bit.

Angelina goes to stake out Stubbins's bar so that they can keep an eye on him. She assembles some magazines to wait with: Glamour, Cosmo, Guns and Ammo, and Soldier of Fortune.
Around noon Orchid arrives in a van (with a big cage, tranquilizer guns, and nets inside) and they discuss the ascension again. Orchid is pretty sure that there is already a Trickster and thus Randall doesn't fit the dream (and besides which, he doesn't show the Trickster channels as she knows them). The idea of setting the ascension off is raised (they decide they could prevent it but that surely someone else would ascend instead). Orchid likes this idea and calls Alex Abel to talk about it.
She manages to persuade Abel that this is a good idea. The team explodes with ideas about how to make Stubbins even more paranoid. The main problem is that they need to force him out of his apartment in order to witness the ascension. Just in case, Alexandra builds a pyramidal box with camcorders inside (one on each face) which they hope to give to him under mysterious circumstances. That way they might get to record something even if they can't witness it.
"No one is going to put down a square pyramid on its side if they're a conspiracy theorist."
Over the next day, the plan evolves, and they first mail him a newspaper with mysterious cutouts and then the Strausses eyeball him in his bar while wearing black suits and ether goggles. When he later logs on to try to update his website, Graham cuts off his phone service. He goes to the bar and persuades the bartender to open up and let him use that phone, and Graham cuts it off again. He then flees to a public library and tries to get them to let him use their phone. They won't, and he declares them to be in on the conspiracy too. Esteban, the Strausses, and others follow him in and when he stops ranting he notices and runs out.
At his car, Gwen gives him the pyramid box and collapses, apparently dead. He tries to drive off but his tires have no air, so he gets out and runs into a nearby park, hiding in some bushes. As the others surround the park, Thielo crawls silently under the bushes.
Stubbins is inside, working at the laptop with the pyramid next to him. His fingers begin to blur with speed... Thielo signals the others, and Orchid, Alexandra, and Gavin crawl into the bushes too, making some noise but not disrupting Stubbins's concentration. Thielo slips on the ether goggles.
As they watch, Stubbins begins to flicker and break up like a static-y TV set. Finally he strobes violently and brightly and is gone. Orchid leaps up and begins collecting samples, but the others mostly stand in shock.
Afterwards, they loot everything of interest out of his house, and Angelina goes into the tunnel to capture the coyotes. She suffers from the -20 Wrestle a Coyote in a Tunnel Penalty and manages to shoot herself with a tranquilizer dart. Gavin has to crawl in and rescue her. The team loads up the coyotes, the loot, and the unconscious Gavin into various vehicles and gets out of Roswell while the getting is good.
