We purchased Destiny in Buffalo, NY in the spring of 2001 to replace Tawhiri, our Hunter 34. After we had purchased her, we found that by an amazing coincidence she had spent the first eight years of her life at our marina, just two slips down from where she now lies! At that time she was known as Roscommon. So Destiny has come "home" to Rhode Island....

There were 39 Pearson 422's built between 1983 and 1987. Destiny is Hull #30. The 422 is essentially a center-cockpit version of the 424. Owners characterize the 422 as a "sweet sailing" boat, and we would concur. Many of them are live-aboard cruisers, scattered throughout the cruising grounds of the world.
