Welcome to the MIT Web Page of Joseph Emerson
Fun Stuff
Have a look at this picture of me sailing under the full moon
with some good friends - I'm the handsome one with the
guitar!
Also, if you are interested, you can examine an MRI
scan of my (idle) brain activity, taken by the grad students in the
NMR lab at MIT.
Professional Information
I am currently a
postdoctoral fellow at the
Perimeter Institute
for
Theoretical Physics
,
and an
affiliate member of the
Institute for Quantum
Computing at the University of Waterloo .
From 2001-2003 I worked as a postdoc in
Quantum Information Science
at MIT, and still have ongoing
collaborations with David Cory's
NMR lab.

Access to my Academic Publications and Related Links
Online access to my recent publications on
quantum chaos, quantum foundations,
and quantum information, as well as an abridged
version of my PhD thesis,
can be found in the quant-ph
archive by clicking
here.
Also, you can view slides and listen to an audio file of a
talk that I gave on my PhD research
at the Perimeter Institute.
If you have a position to offer me, then you should take a look
