ABOUT
The Master of Engineering in Manufacturing (MEngM) degree from MIT’s Department of Mechanical Engineering prepares you for leadership positions in the multidisciplinary profession of manufacturing and gives you the tools to grow in this dynamic field.
The MEngM program affords you both the concentrated engineering-curriculum expected from graduate-school study and practical experience in industry, typically obtainable only through years of work experience. The fall semester is comprised of rigorous learning and the application of core engineering-principals to projects in manufacturing systems, applications, and business-related topics. In the proceeding semesters you’re asked to apply these engineering fundamentals to a real-world problem through your work on a group-based project in industry. Here you’re given the opportunity to affect substantive change in a leading manufacturing company, by solving a near-term problem vital to the company’s success.
