iCampus-MISTI Student Team Internships in China

The MIT iCampus Outreach Initiative is pleased to announce a collaboration with the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI). This is an opportunity for students interested in helping MIT disseminate specific iCampus project educational technology to universities in foreign countries, with an initial focus on China. The specific iCampus projects for which dissemination and adoption internships are offered include:

• Remote Laboratories Online (iLabs)
• Online lectures and interactive homework (XTutor)
• Project-based Engineering Design (RobotWorld)
• Technology Enabled Active Learning (TEAL, 8.02T)
• MIT Online Assessment Tool (iMOAT)

We are particularly interested in sponsoring MIT-China Educational Technology Initiative (CETI) teams in China teaching the use of online materials from 8.02, 6.001, and 6.034, as well as helping Chinese universities create and share online laboratories (see information on MIT iLabs).

If you are interested doing a team internship in China assisting faculty in selected Chinese universities to adopt and use iCampus educational technologies in classes then:

• indicate which iCampus project(s) you would be interested in (you may indicate more than one)
• describe why you would be a valuable member of an iCampus-CETI student team supporting an iCampus educational technology project adoption
• send your expression of interest (no more than 3 pages) to: MIT-CETI at ceti-exec-05@mit.edu
• Applications for iCampus-CETI internships are due by October 29, 2004
